2008 graduate?

Graduation
Seems like I might be graduating December 2008. However, it’s going to be tough. To be able to graduate in December 2008, I’ll have to break a couple of the rules I set for myself after my disappointing beginning of my college career:

  1. Taking more than 4 courses in a semester.
  2. Taking more than 1 math course in a semester.

On the other hand, I just want to finish. I have been doing surprisingly well since going back to school 2 years ago. I have to thank my friends and fam for their support.

Also, I don’t want to have to pay for another semester of classes. Hopefully this doesn’t backfire.

I expect to have a lacking social life for 2008 but that just means that 2009, it’s on!

Not inviting you anymore…

I’m glad I have so many reliable people in my circle of friends. If there’s one thing I dislike is last-minute changes of plan. I pride myself on coming through on the norm–or at the very least being upfront about not being able to make it. If I say I’ll be there, for the most part, I’ll be there. My dudes like Steve, Gamal and Kenny rarely let me down.

On the other hand, I have others who are always backing out on plans to go out and about. Granted many people come across unforeseen issues but in a half-jokingly rant:

My ideal DVD collection

Dec 28th, 2007 at 1:10am

While some people are trying to upgrade their DVD collection to some high-definition media (ie, Gamal and his blu-ray fascination), I am still trying to obtain my ideal collection.

Personally, I am not a DVD “collector“—not only because I currently don’t have the economic means of being one but because I rarely come across a film I would want to see again. However, there are some films I feel are “must-haves”.

I’m studying, leave me alone!

Dec 17th, 2007 at 11:21pm

Textbooks Finals are here. Boy do I loveee me some finals.

This week however, I’ve figured out (after only many years in College) that I am way more productive studying in the late night. I’m putting that to test tonight with an all nighter.

After Thursday, I am done! Well, till January 25th.

…back to my Comp Theory textbook.

What to do with the old homepage?

Dec 17th, 2007 at 11:13pm

Dumpster time? First of, I love Wordpress! Took me a while to get around to it but it was definitely worth it. Yea, it was a fun learning experience coding up my own blogging platform for my old homepage but it was way too time consuming. Now I need to decide what to do with the old page. Only real reason I have it up right now is for the ….stole my Treo posting but maybe I should take that down too. (I guess she payed her due right?)

It took me about an hour to clean up all the spam comments from the old site. Although it seems like the situation is under control right now (did a bit of PHP scripting that should prevent the vast majority of the spamming from coming back), it’s still not worth the time and trouble. But I’m just too lazy to actually put a plan in motion for taking it down. Perhaps I’ll just save it as static pages? That’s an idea. Hmmmm….
