First of, I love Wordpress! Took me a while to get around to it but it was definitely worth it. Yea, it was a fun learning experience coding up my own blogging platform for my old homepage but it was way too time consuming. Now I need to decide what to do with the old page. Only real reason I have it up right now is for the ….stole my Treo posting but maybe I should take that down too. (I guess she payed her due right?)

It took me about an hour to clean up all the spam comments from the old site. Although it seems like the situation is under control right now (did a bit of PHP scripting that should prevent the vast majority of the spamming from coming back), it’s still not worth the time and trouble. But I’m just too lazy to actually put a plan in motion for taking it down. Perhaps I’ll just save it as static pages? That’s an idea. Hmmmm….

While working on my BFWorks blog, I realized some of the XHTML and CSS code was kind of sloppy so I did a cleanup of the code.

The only “noticeable” difference is that now the header image links back to the index of the site (as well it should). Other than that, this would probably be a post that would go in the BFWorks blog once it’s actually done.

So before I get into my first Wii-njury (I just made that term up–clever huh?), some background on my love with my Wii:

About 3 or so months ago my brother let me borrow his Nintendo Wii and I was hooked. Last month, I finally was able to purchase one. Although I was worried that the novelty would wear off, I still play it atleast 4-5 times a week. I only play Wii Sports (the game packaged with the system) although I purchased The Bigs baseball game but it’s lacking at best.

Tidied up a bit. Changed the footer to correctly reflect that I am now using Wordpress as oppose to my own PHP blog application (used in old site). I also added the RSS feeds on the right sidebar. I used the images from a great ComicPress blog entry.

Started off with the “Contact Me” section. Should have that done tomorrow. I also did some tidying up with the XHTML and CSS. Hoping to have this all running 100% by the end of the week. Fun fun fun!

I have updated my to-do list accordingly. If anyone sees anything not working like it’s suppose to be, please let me know.
