Between October and Christmas, I will have celebrated more than 10 birthdays. Next year, I’ll need to make enemies out of some of these friends just because of financial necessity. Can’t afford all this festiveness. Let me list ‘em for you (in somewhat chronological order):

I actually came up with this as a joke with one of my friends but it has stuck.

• Belmeister - It’s my professional side—a programmer, a student and a geek. I made BFWorks blog for that alter-ego. If any of you are interested, give it a visit.
• Belmincito - That’s the prankster, jokester and partyer (is that even a word?) alter-ego. That’s the author of this blog. That’s the one that has to go out to a club, bar or a house party atleast 1-2 times a week.

Unfortunately, lately there’s been too much …meister and not enough …cito going on. Can’t wait till this weekend though. Partying for my main dude Steve-o. More on that later.

So I have abandoned my original approach already. However, not because of lack of determination but due to a recent conversation I had at work about an approach authored by David Allen in the book “Getting things done“.

I am only about half way done with the book and have already implemented a couple of “tricks” (as he refers to them) which I have found to be extremely helpful!

For those of you familiar with GTD: the two minute rule and the gathering and collection of stuff have given me a sense of better control.

Anyway, I have already recommended this book to a few of my friends. I will post more when I actually complete it. So far, seems very promising and I am very optimistic.

My mom and I went over to Allentown to visit sis Jenny, Dale and the one week old addition, Amelia Rose. Posted some pictures on Facebook. Should of probably taken more pictures… damn it. Oh well.

Since speaking last week to my friend Johanny about her intentions to be more efficient, I myself have been thinking about how I could accomplish that. I finally came to the conclusion to put myself on a strict schedule.

Admittedly, commitment is something I am not particularly good at. However, I am optimistic about this. I feel I need a drastic change to accomplish some of the goals I’ve set out for myself. If I could comply with a strict schedule, this will be a huge step in the right direction.

Of course, there’s going to have to be some sacrifices but I also have to be realistic. That is why I’m limiting the scheduling to weekdays (Mondays through Thursdays). Some of the things I’ll have to give up:
