The Knicks of 1999 was a pretty damn good team. After finishing the regular season at 8th place in the Eastern conference, they ended up getting to the NBA finals (though losing in 5 games to the Spurs).

You probably remember Ewing, Oakley, LJ and Starks from that 1998-99 roster. All great and exciting players. But one player I must say was the most entertaining: #14, Chris Dudley.

I mean the name Chris Dudley could not be a better fit! I loved when this guy got some playing time.

According to his Wikipedia article, he’s a pretty smart dude and is doing some pretty impressive stuff post-basketball. So here’s to number 14.

So while getting ready for my spanish class this morning, Steve sent me a text:

8:07a Steven: G&B: Remember miss america, lol was that romans joke girlfriend?

8:10a Belmin: Lmao yeaa. Good joke.

I literally laughed out-loud. I believe it was Igor started this joke on Roman during lunch period. I remember Igor telling us how he had a class with "Miss America".

Needless to say, well.... let's just say she would have a hard time winning any beauty pageant. For those who weren't fortunate enough to be included in this inside joke, Danny dug up an artist rendering of what she should like now (Disclaimer: Danny picked this photo not me!):

I was kind of torn as to which image I was going to use for the “Back in…” post about Vanessa and my Treo. I know a few of you found the one I chose to be pretty funny. This was my other option:

What do you think? I find this one funny as well–did I make the right choice?

So I’m going to post some reminiscing posts in this “Back in…” category.

Let’s start off with a recent one: Vanessa stealing my Treo (site is up).

Ok, as for the conclusion: Vanessa and I ended up talking about it and despite all the drama and lies (not to mention the fake comments she posted), she did finally end up being an adult about it and alls is wells now. Made for an interesting 2 weeks though that’s for sure.
