So do you still have doubts? Personally, I thought that was more than enough to coinvince me that she certainly did it. After that conversation, I was about 99.99% sure she stole my phone. However, that night I came across something that made me 100% sure.
Do you know what Exif data is when related to images? Well for those of you who do not know: it is metadata (characteristics, options, etc) of a digital camera that is held in the image file it creates. Some cell phones also record Exif data in image files. The Treo 680 is one of them. Well, let us take a look at the Exif data of one of the photos Vanessa sent me (this is the original jpeg file so you could download and check out the Exif data for yourself):
Do you see the model of the camera she used to take the picture of what has already been established as being a different Treo? That was like a slap on the face. Do you remember what she said about not having a Treo 680 in the house when I accused her of switching phones for the info screenshot?:
(18:41:52) Vanessa: No is not
(18:41:54) Vanessa: Hers is the same
(18:42:12) Vanessa: Yo she has a treo 650
(18:42:21) Vanessa: I told u
(18:42:21) Vanessa: Only treo here..
Flat out lie. There was a Treo 680 in the house because she used it to take the photo. This obliriated any shred of doubt I had that she stole my Treo 680. It made me even more determined and dedicated to making this site. I did not want to let her get away with this without shame. Again, Iwish it hadn't come to this but I felt she gave me no choice. Putting her on blast was not what I wanted to do.
